New Years Resolutions do Crazy Things!

A little past the first of the year, and here we are! Branding Bliss has launched and is excited to hit the ground running. After a holiday full of laughter and smiles with family and friends, I realized that something was missing…No, it was not my love life, I am lucky to say this is stronger than ever; No, it was not my friendships, these too have blossomed and my network grown strong, Possibly it was my desire for really reassessing my goals and my next 10 years. Someone asked me back in November if I had ever written my goals? After pondering her question for a few moments, I realized that I had never actually taken the time to write out what it was that I wanted to accomplish; whether it be on an hourly basis, a daily basis, a monthly basis, or a yearly basis, this was something that really made me think: Was I really happy going through the motions, or was there something more?

Although it took me a little time and some challenges to get here,  what I realized was a desire to set out on my own and be successful for ME, for my most supportive fiance and my sweet Lucy, for my family, for my community and my friends. So here we are, 2012! I greet each day of this new year with this in mind…a new purpose, a new challenge!

  1. “Start working toward your goals every single day. – Remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.  Whatever it is you dream about, start taking small, logical steps every day to make it happen.  Get out there and DO something!  The harder you work the luckier you will become.  While many of us decide at some point during the course of our lives that we want to answer our calling, only an astute few of us actually work on it.  By ‘working on it,’ I mean consistently devoting oneself to the end result.  Read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
